Real Estate Agent
What Does a Real Estate Agent Do?
A real estate agent is licensed to help owners sell their property and buyers purchase real estate. Arranging and negotiating sales can mean showing the property, listing property, filling in contracts, and other various duties.
When a seller wants to sell their home, they will work with an agent to get the home listed. In listing the home, a real estate agent needs to determine the home’s value, advise the homeowner about readying the home, market the home, supervise and schedule home showings, report any interest or feedback from buyers, and help the seller get the price they want with a signed purchase agreement.
When working with a buyer, a real estate agent will help them find homes that meet their requirements, help with securing a mortgage, and advise on the area market conditions and whether or not homes are priced right. A real estate agent will work with the buyer throughout the process to coordinate an appraisal, inspections, and other activities.
